Forgive Them
Sometimes we get so busy looking at other Christians: judging other Christians, healing from the wounds from other Christians, avoiding Christians and we build a wedge between us and Jesus because we are hurt and offended.
We need to realize that Christianity is not about people. It’s about Christ.
If we have been hurt or offended by the Christians in our lives, we need to rush to the foot of the cross and lay those burdens down. We all have sinned and we are all unworthy, yet Jesus loved us enough to die for us WHILE we were yet sinners. All of us.
Forgiveness is probably the most powerful weapon and tool in the kingdom of God. The only reason we can have relationship with God is because of forgiveness. The only good that can be found on earth is because of forgiveness; otherwise we would’ve been destroyed completely by God‘s wrath.
The grudge you are holding is not making anything better. It’s contaminating your heart and your thoughts and is holding you captive. It’s time for release. It’s time to speak forth these words: “I forgive ____.” It’s not about your feelings, it’s about your obedience to God to release them.
Forgiveness is the message of the cross. The greatest sacrifice known to mankind is all because the God of the universe and the Creator of life itself had mercy on us “while we were yet sinners.”
Who do you need to release to God? Pause in silence and focus on Jesus. Jesus is the Only One Who can soften our hearts and even our wills to let it go. We will be better and even stronger when the offense disintegrates in the very presence of Love.
