Analysis Paralysis
Analysis paralysis is a very real thing. So many things on our minds that need to get done yet we feel stuck and unable to do even ONE of them.
Here’s what I do when I get stuck.
1- LAY THE PHONE DOWN!
2- Grab the old fashioned pen and paper
3- Brain dump everything that needs to get done (home, kids, business, ministry, etc). Make a list for each area.
4- Do NOT pick the phone back up! Put it in another room, in the car, powered off...whatever you have to do. Just keep it away while you gather your thoughts.
5- Make a plan and schedule when you will take care of these tasks.
6- After you do those steps, take some time and knock out one or two of them. Or you might find that without your phone stealing all of your time, you have time to actually get MORE done on that list.
7- Enjoy the satisfaction of checking things off!!! ✅
8- Take time every day to make a new list.
9- Realize that your mind is clearer and your thoughts are sharper when you have some free time away from your phone. You’re able to knock out so many more things when you’re not distracted and constantly filling your mind with snippet after snippet of information from social media and news.
10- If analysis paralysis is still an issue, take some time to get outside into nature. There is something about going for a walk in the woods or sitting by running water that brings restful thoughts and clarity. Nature has a way of bringing calm to our chaos.
I truly pray you find a way to bring peace and calm to your life and get untangled from the chaos that is keeping you stuck. 🤍🕊🌿
