You Matter
If God came back tomorrow, are you ready?
Oh I don’t mean, are you saved…..I mean are you ready to leave earth for all eternity? Did you do everything you wanted to do? Talk to everyone you wanted to talk to? Forgive and release those who need to be released?
If the Lord tarries and doesn’t return for His bride for a thousand more years, we still don’t know the hour we will be called home from this earth. We don’t know when we will breath our last breath and stand face to face with our God. (…or crumble to our knees.)
There are a few relationships that need an apology and a few people who simply need to be reminded that we love them . There are some people who we need to hear tell their stories of childhood and what matters to them most. We need to listen and really hear what some people need to say to us. We need to slow down the pace and enjoy the moments with close friends and family. We need to minister to those who need to be ministered to. We need to write the rest of that devotional, finish the lyrics of that song, and make sure we have said or written everything that needs to be recorded for the next generation.
Oh it’s not about us, dear one. Yes, we are on this earth to enjoy life and live life, but we are mostly here to GIVE of ourselves to others. We are here to make a difference in the people around us. Our encouragement and smile really do brighten sad days. Our words of life really do bring hope to the hurting.
Life is short. Our last day may or may not be today, but I do know this; each and every day matters to God. He said each day was ordained and written about before we were even born! Our days matter because God has the master plan for our lives. We just never know what’s around the corner in the next week or month or even year!
YOUR life matters. YOU matter. The way you make others feel when you are around matters. The hope and love you give makes a difference and ripples into all eternity. The things you say and the things you accomplish will make a difference not only for today, but for those who walk this earth tomorrow.
Never take your days for granted. Know that you have purpose and God’s promise to live in you and through you to accomplish great things. Live for today and make a difference! The world needs you! What a glorious gift you are to this world!
