Create It and They Will Come

It’s mind boggling to me that people are coming to *my* website, listening to the podcast and subscribing to the blog. Are there thousands? No. But I tend to think that in these beginning stages, there is beauty in the smaller numbers and actually KNOWING the people who are engaging. These are the people I have done life with over the past few years on social media. Yes, I have made new friends along the way because of shared interests, but I feel like you are ALL my close knit family.

Most people seem to be afraid of NOT being successful so they never start the business, ministry, or hobby in which they are most passionate. Many seem to think that if only 3 people are reading or watching or purchasing or buying into their endeavors then it is really is not worth the effort. OH! I must say I believe sooooo differently. I like the beginning stages because that’s when you can make it anything YOU want it to be. You can reach out and have coffee dates or phones calls and really connect with those who are genuinely FOR you. There is a foundation being built of family and friends who love you! You have more time to be creative and design your endeavor to fit your lifestyle and you have room to grow with it.

So what is that thing you are wanting and waiting to start? Or maybe you have already started something but you feel it’s not taking off the way you anticipated. Is it time to give some FOCUSED effort? You will be amazed at how momentum will start growing as you put energy and effort into your OWN belief system! When you truly take your endeavors seriously, other people will begin to believe in what YOU believe!

Never balk at small beginnings! Sure, you may have to tweak some things along the way and take into consideration the changes in times and technology or the way people communicate and market, but I want to challenge you to never give up on your passions! Never let your dream die. Keep moving forward and find like-minded dreamers to do life with. You will find motivation and energy from them to think bigger and do greater works when you are around those who think the same way as you!

Pursue your passions!

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin Zechariah 4:10

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children. Matthew 14:19-21
