Just Stop Sinning???

Sometimes we are more adamant about making someone stop sinning than we are about helping them to know Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says that the person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Our mission is not only to TALK about Christ, but to actually BRING people into God’s presence.

How?

•Pray for them BEFORE meeting with them and asking Holy Spirit to prepare their hearts.

•When with them, don’t merely focus on behaviors and rights and wrongs. Focus on the goodness of God and whet their appetite for an encounter with God Himself.

•Pray WITH them right there on the spot.

•Give God the reigns and allow Him to lead the conversation and your time together. You just never know what He might do in the midst of your conversation and time with that person.

I never want to merely talk about God and His “rule book.” I want to overflow with the fragrance and presence of God so others experience HIM.

I’m still a sinner saved by grace but I get to do life with God…walking with Him, experiencing His presence. I simply want to shine a light so my loved ones can walk with Him, too. I want to help them EXPERIENCE God…. Not just learn about Him.
